It&#8217;s here that we learn how Bob Hansen managed to concoct two more alibi witnesses. Two witnesses, we might add, designed to cover-up the time he was with Cindy Paulson. It seems perfect, doesn&#8217;t it? What could possibly go wrong? The taxi driver hastily enlisted in the scheme owes John Henning a favor. Agrees to a tall tale about pizza and beer. Who could forget that whopper? It&#8217;s brilliant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But what would happen if the cops started asking questions? First up would be Robert Hansen. Alone. Then John Henning, separately, without Hansen for backup. And finally the taxi driver, in yet another session, forced to recount his tale. It wouldn&#8217;t take long for the discrepancies to show up. Not little discrepancies either. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What kind of pizza was it, John? What kind of beer did you buy, Mr. Taxi Driver?  Where did you buy it? What time was it? After a few rounds of &#8220;I don&#8217;t remember&#8221; and &#8220;I don&#8217;t recall,&#8221; the lies would ensnare them all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, that didn&#8217;t happen. Or, rather, it didn&#8217;t happen until the days <em>after<\/em> Robert Hansen&#8217;s arrest, when the troopers finally closed the case. That&#8217;s because the Anchorage cops fell for it. Got that? They bought this nonsense hook, line and sinker. All it took was John Henning and John Sumrall. The two Johns. One lying, one telling the truth. But the cops took their word over that of a known prostitute. Yeah. The same old, same old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n<p><em>Copyright 2020.
