Glenn Flothe, AST. In this installment, Cindy provides additional information about how she met &#8212; and ended up with &#8212; Robert Hansen. Cindy reveals that Hansen flashed some bills at her &#8212; and that she was entranced by the thought of his money.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;He said \u2018cause he used to work on the slopes and that he would come down and spend money for a girl and go to her room for ten or fifteen minutes. Time is 8:15. Cindy I notice that you are visibly upset and have tears and crying. Apparently you\u2019re bothered by this?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Yes, it\u2019s real\u2026 Hell yeah, I\u2019m bothered by it.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Do you feel that he was going to hurt you?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: You know, I didn\u2019t feel nothing, \u2018cause I knew I wasn\u2019t gonna live. I mean, man, what he did to me, he had to kill me. (pause)<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Hmm. (pause) When did you first see this man, Cindy?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: I believe it was on a Friday and I gave him my telephone number and he called me on a Saturday. And I was supposed to meet him but I didn\u2019t show up \u2018cause I overslept.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: OK. Where were you at when you saw him on a Friday?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: On Fourth and Denali.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: And about what time was that?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: It was about maybe four in the morning, three-thirty in the morning.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Did he approach you or did you approach him?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: He approached me. I\u2019m not correct on the times, OK?<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: OK.<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: \u2026 I could say the time but it may not be the correct one.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: OK. It\u2019s been some time since you last talked to him, in fact, it\u2019s been quite some time.<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Tons\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: So if you\u2019re unsure about something (Cindy coughs) just tell me, all right?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: All right.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: OK. So it\u2019s early in the morning\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Um hmm\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Friday morning. And he contacts you. Do you remember what he\u2019s driving on Friday?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Yep. A metallic green Buick Century. With a cut in the back.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: What do you mean by a \u2018cut in the back\u2019?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Like a new Seville.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: OK.<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Like a convertible\u2026 (inaudible)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lelandhale.com\/butcherbaker\/images\/buick-century-1978-sedan.png\" alt=\"Money: 1978 Buick Century 4-door sedan\"><br \/>\n<strong>1978 Buick Century 4-Door Sedan<\/strong> (This photo is NOT Hansen&#8217;s Buick, but it is similar)<\/p>\n<p><strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Did you have conversation, then, with him on Friday?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Yep.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Did you get into his car, or did he just get out or what?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Nope. He had rolled the window down and I opened the door and I sat down and I talked to him.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: What did he ask you?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: He said that he would like to have some company. And that he had to work and he couldn\u2019t do it then. And so I gave him my telephone number\u2026 And he was going\u2026 To be frank, honest, I was asking him for change for a cigarette machine. And he had pulled out his wallet and showed me a whole bunch of money\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: You saw a bunch of money in his wallet?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Um hmm. (inaudible).<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Did he give you change?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Uh huh\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Or did he give you any money? I mean, bills, or did he just give you the change?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: I think he gave me a five. \u2018Cause that was the smallest he had.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Did you give him your phone number or did he write it down on something? I mean\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: He wrote it down on a (inaudible).<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: What was your phone number at that time?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: I gave him the number at the <em>Big Timber<\/em>.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Did you give him the room number too?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Yep.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: And contact Cindy at this phone number and this room number\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Uh huh.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Did he tell you what his name was?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: \u2018Bob\u2019 and then \u2018Don.\u2019 It was \u2018Don,\u2019 and then\u2026 OK, it was \u2018Don\u2019 and then after we were at his place, and he was going to take me to the airport, he was saying about \u2018Bob.\u2019<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Was there anybody with him on Friday?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: No. Just him by himself.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: About how long did you have contact with him on Friday?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: About ten minutes.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Did he seem pretty sincere about wanting to get with you?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Uh huh. He seemed really like a pretty good guy. (inaudible)<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lelandhale.com\/butcherbaker\/images\/seven-other-girls.png\" alt=\"Seven Other Girls\"><br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: And then he contacted you on Saturday.<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: I talked to him and made an appointment to meet him and I didn\u2019t show up. I overslept.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: At what time did he call you on Saturday?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Um\u2026 I think it was around six.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Six in the evening?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Uh huh. I said I could meet him at ten or else at eleven.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Where were you going to meet him at Saturday?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: I believe it was right there right across from the Sheraton on Fifth and Denali.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lelandhale.com\/butcherbaker\/images\/Anchorage_Sheraton.png\" alt=\"Anchorage Sheraton\"><br \/>\n<strong>Anchorage Sheraton<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: And then you overslept and consequently didn\u2019t meet him.<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Uh huh.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: And when did you hear from him again?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Well, I didn\u2019t. I saw him the next day, Sunday.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Did he call you first or did he just come by?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: He just drove by. He pulled over and I recognized him immediately.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: OK. This is Sunday night or early Monday morning?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Sunday.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: About what time?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: About eleven, eleven-thirty.<br \/>\n(pause)<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: What was he driving then, Sunday night?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: The Buick Century.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: The same car as on Friday?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Yep.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Do you remember how he was dressed on Sunday?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: In jeans. And he had a green shirt or else it was plaid. And if I\u2019m not mistaken I think he had a green or a light t-shirt underneath it. It\u2019s a over shirt. And he fuckin\u2019 had a tan or an Army green tan coat or Army green\u2026 And boots.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: What kind of boots?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Regular\u2026 Just working boots. And brown socks.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: And what color were his boots? Black or brown?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: They were a dark brown. Brown shoes. But he had brown socks on.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Describe this man to me.<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: He has kind of darkish, brownish hair. And he\u2019s short. He\u2019s got like frog warts on his face. Buck teeth. And if I\u2019m not mistaken I think he got green or blue eyes. And he\u2019s about five six, weighs about 170 pounds.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: I wanna show you six pictures, Cindy, and the person that we\u2019re talking about may or may not be in here. See if there\u2019s anyone in here that you might recognize. Be sure and look at all six.<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: That\u2019s it.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Which photograph is that?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Number five.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Number five. Did he have a moustache, Cindy?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: I don\u2019t think so.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: How about the glasses?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: They look the same. Maybe they were different frames.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Hairstyle?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Same.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: You\u2019re positive.<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: I\u2019m positive.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Were you shown any pictures of him before?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Yep.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: And did you pick an individual out that was\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: The same person.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: The same person. And who showed you those pictures?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: A police officer at the Sixth Avenue police department.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: If you can move your hand away from your face a little bit\u2026 I want to make sure we get it on the tape recorder, OK?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: OK.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Thank you. So he shows up Sunday night, then.<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Uh huh.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: And he contacts you at where?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: On the corner of Fourth and Denali. (crying)<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: OK. And he\u2019s driving the same car.<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Yeah.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: OK. And when he pulled up, did you just go get in the car, or did you talk to him\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: (interrupting) Well, I went over there \u2018cause at first I didn\u2019t recognize him.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Ah.<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: And then after I looked I recognized him. He offered me $200 for a blowjob in the car, \u2018cause I wouldn\u2019t go to his place. \u2018Sure, no problem,\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018fine, no problem.\u2019 Hey, no problem, you know.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Two hundred dollars is a lot of money\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Hey, for a blowjob in the car, hell yeah. It was funny though, \u2018cause before, when he was getting ready to take me to his cabin, he said that, um, there had been seven other girls before me. And that, um, I was lucky because usually the other ones stayed a week. That\u2019s why he did it. He said \u2018cause he used to work on the slopes and that he would come down and spend money for a girl and go to her room for ten or fifteen minutes. And he said well he was gonna start getting his money\u2019s worth. So he felt he should go and get the girl and take her over to his house. And do what he pleased with her.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: When did he tell you this?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Um, he had me chained around my neck for a time. There was a bullet hole in the floor. Way down on the floor. Only reason I know was \u2018cause I was layin\u2019 there. It\u2019s way down on the bottom.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: When you got into the car, and you were giving him a head job, is that when he pulled out the gun?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Nope. He was messin\u2019 with my neck and I was kinda trippin\u2019. It just felt (inaudible) and he pulled the gun out and that time he had handcuffs on my hands and I couldn\u2019t get the door open.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: You\u2019re trying to get out? You mentioned a minute ago, Cindy, that he wanted you to go home with him, or something, and you didn\u2019t want to go home with him, or\u2026<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Uh huh. \u2018Cause at the time, I was very new to Alaska and I don\u2019t never go to anybody\u2019s house. And he suggested that we could go to his place. I said, \u2018no, we can go to my place.\u2019 He said, no, he didn\u2019t want to. I said, fine, we can do it in the car. No problem.<br \/>\n<strong>FLOTHE<\/strong>: Where did you go when you did it in the car?<br \/>\n<strong>CINDY<\/strong>: Right around Fourth and Denali.
