As co-author of Butcher, Baker, I had the honor of collaborating on THE definitive account of serial killer Robert Hansen. First published in 1991, it’s a story with legs. And so it was that in March 2019, a crew from Arrow Media came to my house. They were here from England to film a segment for an upcoming Hansen documentary. And now, that work is ready for it’s debut on Investigation Discovery.
It’s a two-hour show, with exclusive audio from Robert Hansen’s confession. If you happen to be a true-crime fan, you’re in for a double-bill, starting with Episode 2 of The Green River Killer.

In the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing some backstory about the shoot, as well as behind-the-scenes photos. I’ll tease you with this:
The shoot was March 8, 2019. Because the shoot was in my home, we had to prep the site. Blackouts on my windows. Heater turned off (no noise, please). Lamp timers disconnected (no noise, please). It was an all-day shoot. (Thank you, Lorrie for bringing breakfast!)
By midday it was snowing. We all got pretty chill.
